Her naïveté and broken sense of self create a fragile, half‑existent character whose reality fractures when a forbidden radio transmission exposes the truth. The performance charts her shift from infantilized compliance to spiritual awakening and ultimately feral rebellion, establishing the feature’s commitment to character‑driven horror rooted in emotional and psychological transformation..

World

Within this story unfolds a closed, oppressive environment built on ritual, doctrine, and spiritual control. Seraphim’s world functions like a time loop — the same prescribed routines repeated day after day with no hope of escape. The space feels small, airless, and spiritually corroded, a system engineered to isolate, monitor, and contain. That insular bubble finally fractures with the intrusion of a single forbidden radio transmission, hinting at a larger universe beyond the walls and exposing the rot beneath the doctrine.

Directorial  Approach

Natasha Zoë Dean’s direction fuses psychological horror with spiritual intimacy, treating dread as an emotional language rather than a genre device. Her approach leans into restraint — lingering on silence, repetition, and ritual until the viewer feels complicit in Seraphim’s confinement. Every frame tightens the psychological space, using rhythm, sound, and shadow to erode comfort and reveal the sacred rot beneath obedience. It’s a precise, embodied, and unflinching style that transforms spiritual decay into cinematic tension.

Logline:

Raised in an authoritarian cult, a middle‑aged woman condemned for her “sins” fights to break free and reclaim her autonomy — but the horror of her origins is a cage far worse than the one she escaped.

Feature Synopsis

The feature expands the story beyond Seraphim’s isolated routine to reveal the larger system controlling her life — its leaders, its mythology, and the machinery that keeps women erased. As she uncovers the truth behind the doctrine, she’s forced into a confrontation with the institution itself, discovering others shaped by the same control and realizing the scale of what she’s up against. Her awakening becomes a rebellion that threatens the foundation of the world she was raised to obey.

FEATURE STATUS

The Bloodline: Ascension of Seraphim is currently in development.

The feature screenplay is nearing completion of its first draft, after which the project will enter the revision process to refine the story, strengthen the characters, and prepare the screenplay for pitching.

The proof of concept has been completed and establishes the visual language, atmosphere, and emotional world of the feature. The project is now moving toward its finalized screenplay, visual pitch materials, and production partnerships.
